Some questions end in “let's talk”. With Calendly connected, a workflow can offer a booking step inside the messenger, so the customer picks a slot in the conversation instead of being sent off to a link and forgetting.
Add Calendly from Integrations and authorise your Calendly account. There's nothing else to configure; the integration confirms you're connected and that's it.
The scheduling step lives in workflows. Add it, and set three things:
Calendly link — which event people should book.
Button text — what the customer clicks.
Introduction message — the line that explains why they'd want to.
Both the button text and the introduction can be translated, so a multilingual widget doesn't switch to English at the last step.
Two places pay off. A sales enquiry, where booking beats a reply thread. And a support conversation that's gone several rounds without progress — offering a call at that point resolves things faster than another message.
What it isn't good for is the front of the conversation. A booking step offered before anyone has understood the question sends people to a call they didn't need, which is expensive for both sides.
Point it at an event with realistic availability. A link with nothing free for two weeks reads as “we don't want to talk to you”, and it's better to not offer the step than to offer it and disappoint.
