A plan is what you choose when you support a publication on Steady. It sets how much you pay and what you get in return.
You pick one of the publication’s plans and pay its price regularly, usually once a month. In return you usually receive a benefit as a thank-you for your support. Each plan has a fixed price set by the publication, so you can’t set your own amount.
You gain members by offering plans to your audience. For each plan you set a fixed price, which members pay regularly (usually monthly). A plan can also include benefits for your members, but it doesn’t have to.
Every plan runs either monthly or annually. With an annual plan, members pay once a year instead of once a month, and it may cost less than paying monthly – though it doesn’t have to. You can cancel a monthly plan anytime during the month to avoid paying for the following month; an annual plan can be cancelled anytime during the year.
